Safeguarding the young from the Covid infection!

By Rebecca Dias | Project Leader

In our efforts of achieving 100% vaccination in our intervention villages, so far, 2,99,119 adults have been vaccinated through SPARSH Rural Hospital and the Mobile Medical Units.

Sparsh Rural hospital and Mobile Medical Units have taken up the Covid vaccination campaign 'Har Ghar Dastak' to 100% vaccinate the population residing in 126 Villages of Osmanabad & Latur District, in collaboration with the Osmanabad District Health Department. This door-to-door drive is helping target those who were unable to reach the centres and who were not able to move out of their houses like the elderly, women, differently-abled and also the daily workers. So far 105 villages have successfully been 100% vaccinated by the first dose.

Now amid the rapid rise of COVID cases, fueled by the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, our focus is to work towards the precautionary measures for safeguarding the children. As per the government directives, SPARSH Rural Hospital has now begun vaccinating the young population aged 15 years to 18 years as well to shield them against the infection!

We thank all our donors and well-wishers for joining hands to safeguard the lives of the young population thus giving them a brighter future.
