Preparing for the third wave of Covid 19

By Rebecca Dias | Project Leader

Sparsh Hospital - Preparing for the third wave of Covid 19 through Clinical and Preventive Care

Keeping in mind all precautionary measures, Sparsh Rural Hospital has worked around the clock during this pandemic. It continues to make efforts to control the spread of covid and flatten the curve through its Special fever OPDs, Covid testing, Covid vaccination drives, and conducting awareness campaigns on covid prevention and vaccination.

Our impact so far:

• 146 awareness campaigns on covid prevention and vaccination conducted covering a population of 2.5L in remote villages of Osmanabad and Latur districts

• 10,942 individuals received covid vaccination through SPARSH

• 40,575 covid symptomatic patients screened and treated through Special Fever OPD

• 9395 covid tests were conducted of which 1150 tested covid positive.

Through our SPARSH Rural Hospital, we have also initiated a Multi-Media Van to create covid awareness on prevention and vaccinations using loudspeaker units, pamphlet distribution, using IEC Materials covering 76 remote villages in Osmanabad, Latur Districts and also villages within a radius of 45 kms of SPARSH Rural Hospital.

We thank all our well-wishers for supporting us in saving lives and we appeal to you for your continued support in fighting this pandemic and join us in containing the virus…
