‘If the person is unhealthy, there’s nothing much that he could do to be productive in life.’
Working closely with the people of villages, SPARSH focuses on the overall health of the people. In collaboration with its outreach programmes, a free Hypertension and Diabetes detection camp was organized in around 10 interior villages. Around 700 people from these and the nearby villages were had participated in the camp.
The main objective of the health camp was to screen the people and also create awareness among the villagers regarding the causes, prevention and control of diabetes and blood pressure. Creating awareness has demanded important attention as there has been a rapid increase in the number of people having high blood pressure and sugar level.
The persons having high risk of blood pressure and diabetes were advised to go to visit SPARSH Hospital or the nearby Public Health Centre for further checkups.
The villagers had expressed their gratitude to SPARSH and its well-wishers for organizing such camps as there has been an increased demand for quality medical care.
