EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS.

Educational materials include textbooks, supplies, tools, machinery, computers, electronic devices, or other goods related to any education, training, or experience required for learning.

 There is no learning when motivation is lacking. The usual setup of the teacher talking at the front of the class and the students passively listening can make their interest in a lesson plummet. Motivating and keeping them interested by employing learning materials and combining it with interesting tasks, such as weaving a basket using materials from Africa, can make the school experience memorable and thus will provide lifelong learning.

At Another Hope Children’s Ministries, we have introduced our children on sponsorship to

education materials by taking them to schools which could provide them with such materials.

Some of the materials are provided at the home at every start of the term. These

include books, reams of papers, snacks, pens and so on. Since the use of learning tools

promotes active learning, the students will acquire skills to help them learn better. We believe they can develop logical reasoning and creative thinking because

the teachers are allowing them to have a more active role in the learning process.

From the observation we have made, education materials simplify the educational process of

serious learners thus making learning easier, and most importantly remind them of their mission of targeting excellence.

From the stories of some of our children on sponsorship, the materials we give them act as a

sign of the supporter’s effort towards their education. They create a positive learning environment.

We therefore thank so much our friends for the support given us towards the education of our children.

ello I am doing carpentry at cogswell school of art and design.

I used to think that I was skilled in the work that I used to do back in the village where I come and grew up from because I could lay bricks, rear almost all kinds of domestic animals, I used to do local village carpentry furniture and I thought i was at the beam, felt like I had made it because I have elder people who would consult from me and at one point I told my fellow agements and friends that the only thing missing is me starting up a consulting firm .

 One day I was approached by a pastor who introduced me to cogswell because he believed that I needed to polish my skills. I had hated being in class because I believed i was I old and could fit in but I was assured that I was to join a vocational institute and It is going to teach me new skills that meet the demand of the labour market in Uganda and the world at large, I am very grateful that I feel like I am skilled and empowered to thrive in my community.

 The entrepreneur skills that I have acquired from this vocational institute are going to enable me start up a viable furniture business with high profits and better working conditions and all of this is because I have attained upshift skills and it is all because of another hope children’s ministries

That restored my hope by sponsoring me through a vocational training that taught me new skills and introduced me to new furniture tools that I never thought existed.
