Our portable water supply program to our index communities is still very much on course.
The beneficiaries are full of praises for Dako Foundation, GlobalGiving and all the donors for making this program still functioning in the face of the present global economic challenges in general and the Nigerian economic woes in particular.
They are particularly happy that the prevalence of water borne diseases and absenteeism from school have reduced since the onset of this program.
Our index communities are expanding in population and land mass and these necessitate the need for expansion of our project.
Besides, our perennial power challenges remain and it calls for urgent provision of complementary power supply to ensure we have regular power to pump water to our beneficiaries.
Solar power system seems to be a good option for this complementary power system and 5KVA batteries and solar panels can solve this challenge. At the present market value about $20,000.00 (Twenty thousands dollar). can solve the problem.
While we thank GlobalGiving and all our donors for the efforts made so far, we look forward to GlobalGiving in raising donations to complete this laudable project.
