Our portable water supply to our index communities is still making impact in our rural villages.
With the increasing economic deterioration in Nigeria most nearby water supply facilities owned by governments and nongovernmental Organisations have shut down.
Our own facility however continues to provide portable water supply.
We are now faced with two major challenges:, the already well known inadequate power supply to pump water through out the day and the increasing demand on supply occasioned by the collapse of neighboring facilities.
The need for urgent alternative source of power to augment power supply from the National Grid can not be overemphasized.
At least eight hours of sunlight daily is a guarantee in this part of Nigeria all through the year and solar power, as stated in our previous reports seems to be the solution to the two challenges above.
While we thank GlobalGiving and and all our donors for making this project possible and assisting to make it function well till date, we look forward to contributions that will help to upgrade our performance in expanding our water supply to these rural and poor population.
Thank you all,
Dr Dako Mamudu.
