Safe Water Sports, the Organization that promotes safety in the aquatic environment, has opened its doors to the schools in order to facilitate educational visits at its promises. Precisely, the Organization has officially launched ''Ocean Lab'' an educational, interactive place where students are invited at no cost to attend a two-hour interactive kind of lesson through technologically based games.
In 2024, as the organization operates in Cyprus too, will hold an awareness event-presentation on the following months in cooperation with the Ministry of Education in Cyprus, in order to present the organization to citizens, raise awareness about the importance of drowning and precaution and present its actions like the educational program it has formed that addresses to instructors of schools and recently was approved again by the Ministry. Hene, children parents and instructors will learn about safety rules in the aquatic environment through an interactive way.
Furthermore, this year the organization will present the 1st video of the ''Blue Cap'' of the Safe Swimming Program that contain exercises in details and address to the instructors. This is something innovative in Greece, as there is nothing like this in comparison to other countries abroad (such as UK). In this way, instructors that perform the program at schools will have an easy way to present all the swimming qualifications that a child must have when finishes primary school.
Additionally, this year the organization is in cooperation with Kos island and the state in order to build the 1st floating pool for children and elderly in a place where there is no a swimming pool because of the costs.
Last but not least, this year the organization in collaboration with institutions plan to support educational excursions of schools out of Athens in order to visit our educational place. '' Ocean Lab'' in order to learn about safety through a team-working, environment and entertaining, educational activities.
