Over 3 days from 8 April - 10 April 2019, Reef Check Malaysia organised an Eco-friendly Snorkel Guide training course for 28 snorkel guide operators from Mersing in Johor. Not only did the participants learn about how to look after the marine environment and reduce human impacts to the marine ecosystem, they also had to practice life-saving skills and complete a first-aid course. These skills are important for the safety of their customers as well.
This training was done in collaboration with the Marine Park & Resource Management Division under Department of Fisheries, Johor. Thank you to everyone who was involved!
