You believed in a dream of building a secondary school for your children and are making it possible, one building at a time! The current building under construction at Nyaka Vocational Secondary School (NVSS) is the Mechanical and Metal Workshop. Construction began in September and is scheduled to be completed before the end of the year. The construction process has been valuable to the current building and construction vocational students. They have been able to observe and learn from the construction crew. Many of the students have never seen a building of this size be built from the beginning to end, and really enjoy the experience.
The main walls of the workshop are up, along with the roof. Workers have begun to work on the outside overhang and the inside of the classrooms. When the 2017 school year begins in February, students can begin taking mechanical and metal courses. This workshop will provide extensive vocational training, and space, for your students. It will open up many doors to job opportunities after graduation. Thank YOU for making NVSS possible!
Once the workshop is complete, there are still two more buildings need to be completed – the building for the Physics & Chemistry labs and the Multipurpose & Dining Hall. YOU can help finish NVSS by donating today!
