2021 was a year of great challenges, learning and new opportunities that we envisioned together with the women artisans we accompanied and advised.
The training programs that were carried out taking care of health safety measures allowed the women artisans to continue their empowerment processes, developing new skills and business leadership capabilities.
During the last 3 months the artisans concluded their training processes with a space for analysis and reflection in which they shared the importance of training to improve the organizational and productive aspects of their ESMAS.
Testimony of Paulina "For me it has been of great importance to participate in each of the workshops given by the Binational Network, taking these workshops is like going to school, where we learn new topics, share what we know and learn about the experiences of other artisans, all this helps us to improve our ESMAS.
On the other hand, the artisans have developed new handicraft products, applying the knowledge they have acquired about fashion trends, price analysis and production costs, market behavior and handicraft innovation, through orders placed by the Binational Network Cooperative to support marketing through different channels and its online store www.matat.org.
In these production processes it is possible to observe the levels of empowerment and self-management of the artisans, who are responsible for their entire production process, have identified and apply collective supply strategies for quality raw materials, correctly calculate their production costs and maintain total quality in their products, which allows them to position themselves and compete in the markets.
