All of your 7,005 grandmothers in Uganda are sending you love and gratitude for the New Year!
YOUR support this year has helped them to build businesses, sheltered them from the elements, helped them find emotional support, and given them new hope that they will overcome poverty.
YOUR grandmothers were poor and elderly. They didn't have any way to make an income and were barely surviving on their own. They relied on their children to care for them in their old age. But after their children died of HIV/AIDS, these women did not hesitate to take in their grandchildren. Even though many of them have gone without food or comfort, they have worked until their hands were numb to give their grandchildren the very best they could.
YOU saw their courage and strength. YOU believed in YOUR grandmothers. Every dollar YOU have given to this project has been used to help these women rebuild their lives and provide for their granchildren.
Because of YOU, the world can see what a grandmother can do.
