Nourishing 1100 children of the Wixarika Community

We want to express our gratitude with you, due to your donations, we continue to arrive to the Wixárika Indigenous Community in the northern Sierra of Jalisco, and we continue providing alimentary security and fighting children malnutrition in the region. Due to the pandemic, caused by Covid-19, it was challenging to us to start teaching and applying this new health and hygiene protocols, but with effort and dedication we keep arriving to this communities with the only objective of making a difference in their lives, and always taking care of the safety of our staff and the community. 

In the last 4 months we interacted with 1000 children, we weighted them, measure them and gave them their alimentary complement for every day consumption, we also gave 4 special educational talks to the mothers and fathers of this children, the new topics, on these educational talks, were the prevention strategies for Covid-19, best and nutritious ways to prepare and cook food, alimentary hygiene and its importance for health, also topics that relate to human development and healthy relationships between family members. 

Our interactions also include the delivery of our ONIfórmula, in these 3 months we manage to deliver 27,000 doses of our ONIformula, and we manage to bring alimentary security to 300 families. This interaction is vital for the community, due to the geographic location and the lack of access to water, we want to continue with our interaction in this community, that so much need it, and it would be impossible without you, we want to thank you and to invite you to keep donating to make this community life better and build together a space for development.
