In this reporting period, MHO Wanted to share the story of a Mother of a 6-year-Old son

Escaped from war-affected area Debre Damot due to the involvement of her husband in the war

Belayines pictured here is a mother of a 6-year-old son. Who has benefitted from the activities and programmes offered by the project funded by your kind support? Belinsihe left her home in Debre Damot due to the involvement of her husband in the war. According to Beletech,  her husband was a teacher at the time, he was involved in a war between Amahara Militant and  Tigray forces without telling her. One day, as war approached she escaped Debre Damot, wanting to Bahardar the only city safe from the war zone at that time   “I was sure if they found me from the area, they killed me directly “said Belayines. After arrived Bahadar where MHO Rehabilitation is located, As   she had no relatives, she was forced to live near the church before being reached by the MHO team and taken to the Rehabilitation center, Belayine was on street without any support

. “In between,” she said. “. After a while, I heard a new rehabilitation for women affected by war was opened, and I went MHO rehabilitation center After the MHO team looked at me and the situation of my son, they  decided to receive me and my son

 After Belayines joined and was sheltered in the MHO rehabilitation center, she received necessary supportive services for her and her son including food, Nutrition, hygiene supplies, emergency nutrition rations for children, reproductive health kits, dignity kits water and sanitation supplies, utensils, and soaps, for 6 months. After staying for 6 months at  MHO rehabilitation after the peace deal,  she returned  back to Debre Damot and re-joined  her family, and live a happy life with her  relatives including her husband  with regret his involvement in the blood war

The people of Ethiopia currently faced multiple crises crisis: the conflicts on one hand and the unprecedented worst drought on the other due to three consecutive seasons of failed rains. Ethiopia The donation from GlobalGiving and its partners are currently immense in reaching out and life-saving the most affected people by both conflicts in the North and drought in the south

The people of Ethiopia currently faced multiple crises crisis: conflicts and the unprecedented worst drought in forty years from three consecutive seasons of failed rains. The first one remains described by some as the worst in recent memory - which led to millions of displacements. In this reporting period in With the donation and financial support GlobalGiving and its partners under the project entitled emergency and relief as well as with kid support the money donation from individual donors utilized for life saving support for 135 house hold with children displaced people from in Kobbo Tigray border due to renewed conflict and sheltered in public spaces, including schools and staying with relatives and on street at greater risk and did not received additional support With your Money donation MHO provided them life-saving food, emergency Nutrition, Health, washing materials .water, sanitation, utensils .hygiene supplies biscuits,, medical kits, hygiene kits including for Mother delivering babies in the move and displaced children as well as to provide psychological support for displaced children who have been suffering from psychological trauma and other basic needs like alternative educational needs by moving them in to newly established MHO Rehabilitation center near to the war affected area almost 60KM meter away from Kobo war affected are including provided them shelter in one place to reduce the vulnerability and alleviate the suffering as war-induced crisis affecting women and girls disproportionately: as well as majority of MHO needy are women and children . To establish this new rehabilitation the financial and continued support and contribution of GlobalGiving is immense Besides in this reporting period through your thoughtful and kind money donation MHO also provided educational support for Somali women and girls in drought-affected regions as the educational support is a highly unmet need and the high price of educational material and not easily accessible like food as other humanitarian Organization provided food items primarily As the result affected families by drought are not able to afford & provide the necessary educational materials such as exercise books, books, transportation, school uniforms, school supplies (notebooks, pens, pencil, etc ) for their children. In this reporting period, we provided the necessary educational materials such as books, transportation, school uniforms, and school supplies (notebooks, pens, and pencils, for  467 childless and women affected families by drought including those who are not able to afford & provide the necessary educational materials for their kids Your kid donation significantly contributed in full filling educational needs and getting children back to schools in drought-affected t-affected areas in Not

Not only that, in this reporting period your donation not only reduced the vulnerability and alleviated the suffering of women and girls disproportionately affected by war and drought-induced crisis in Ethiopia but also saves lives 27 mother was forced into the most difficult decision to leave them and are taking desperate measures to fleed to other area keeping themselves to resort to survival due to recently renewed war and gave birth in the forest before reaching before reached the nearest clinic and MHO Rehabilitation Center. This mother, before being reached out by the MHO team after an announcement through local FM radio about giving birth to 27 women in the move. They had hidden in the forest for 2 days before making birth in different occultation.

She’s shown pictured below here with his beloved toddler kid children Born in the midst of chaos is among those who have been displaced and gave birth in the forest survived. “I just rushed to flee, leaving behind my house, all my properties, and my life. I hope one day we would be back in our home,” she says, explaining how the cold weather, lack of sleep, and lack of food are affecting her and her toddler children Currently some of them are taken to the MHO rehabilitation center in Addis Ababa for better health and all the mother and children’s at are in good health and live in a safe and caring family environment.
