In this reporting period, MHO Wanted to share the story of a Mother of a 6-year-Old son
Escaped from war-affected area Debre Damot due to the involvement of her husband in the war

Belayines pictured here is a mother of a 6-year-old son. Who has benefitted from the activities and programmes offered by the project funded by your kind support? Belinsihe left her home in Debre Damot due to the involvement of her husband in the war. According to Beletech, her husband was a teacher at the time, he was involved in a war between Amahara Militant and Tigray forces without telling her. One day, as war approached she escaped Debre Damot, wanting to Bahardar the only city safe from the war zone at that time “I was sure if they found me from the area, they killed me directly “said Belayines. After arrived Bahadar where MHO Rehabilitation is located, As she had no relatives, she was forced to live near the church before being reached by the MHO team and taken to the Rehabilitation center, Belayine was on street without any support
. “In between,” she said. “. After a while, I heard a new rehabilitation for women affected by war was opened, and I went MHO rehabilitation center After the MHO team looked at me and the situation of my son, they decided to receive me and my son
After Belayines joined and was sheltered in the MHO rehabilitation center, she received necessary supportive services for her and her son including food, Nutrition, hygiene supplies, emergency nutrition rations for children, reproductive health kits, dignity kits water and sanitation supplies, utensils, and soaps, for 6 months. After staying for 6 months at MHO rehabilitation after the peace deal, she returned back to Debre Damot and re-joined her family, and live a happy life with her relatives including her husband with regret his involvement in the blood war
