On December 5, we celebrated "International Volunteer Day." During this celebration, the participation of Amelia, Victoria, Sol, and José was highlighted as they contributed to the First Civil Society Fair: Civil Society in Action as part of the Day of Good Actions. Volunteering in Civil Society Organizations offers a unique opportunity to connect with social causes and diverse communities. This experience not only strengthens the organizations receiving support but also transforms and enriches those who choose to get involved, providing both professional and personal learning.
Together with the Embassies of Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, we held an event titled "Argentina Standing: 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence," as part of the UN Women Latin America and the Caribbean #JoinUs Campaign, aimed at ending violence against women and girls.During the event, leaders of key organizations shared analyses, perspectives, and challenges in the fight for gender equality and the eradication of violence. This event reinforced our commitment to working in partnership to promote concrete actions in favor of human rights and gender equity.
From December 9 to 11, RACI coordinated the first Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Representatives of CAF’s global network gathered to exchange ideas, strengthen alliances, and work together to promote social impact internationally.
On December 19, as part of our Human Talent Group, AMIA launched an initiative for the Human Resources departments of RACI member organizations, a virtual dialogue table led by experts from the Network of Argentine Jewish Entrepreneurs, Executives, and Businesspeople. The main goal of the meeting was to highlight how acts of antisemitism, from explicit discrimination to more subtle microaggressions, impact the workplace. Additionally, it aimed to inspire leaders and teams to include this issue in diversity and inclusion agendas, promoting concrete actions to create safe and respectful work environments.
On January 23, we launched our Strategic Planning 2025-2030. From March to November 2024, RACI worked intensively on creating a plan that reflects our collective vision for the future. This participatory, multi-stakeholder process brought together voices from academics, civil society leaders, government representatives, funders, international networks, and others. The result was a strategic document that outlines key trends, identifies the challenges we face, and serves as a fundamental tool to strengthen the impact of our member organizations.
On February 10, we published the announcement for the 2025 Membership Registrations, which will run from March 1 to March 31. We promote meetings, exchange useful information for the sector, and create training and capacity-building opportunities to deepen the impact of the work of each of our members. We are already more than 250 Argentine organizations committed to working in networks.
