Help Strengthen Organizations in Argentina!

Dear partners,

Thank you once again for supporting our work! This has been a very busy year in which a lot has been done to strengthen CSOs in Argentina and Latin America and the Caribbean. 

During this past year we have co-managed funds and mobilized over 200.000 USD to CSOs, financing 30 projects that contributed to the development of the region. We have also worked on advocacy issues, related to the challenges our democracies are facing together with the Kettering Foundation, and to civic space through the Innovation for Change initiative. We have published our last research piece, Civic Perspective LAC, which measured the state of civil society organizations in the region and that you can access through the following link: https://raci.org.ar/perspectiva-civica-latinoamerica-y-el-caribe/. We have also held a capacity building cycle that strengthened the capacities of over 300 people from 10 different countries, and worked together with the RACI member organizations on task forces that addressed specific transversal issues for organizations. 

Moreover, elections were held and we renewed our Executive Committee, which is now formed by the directors of the following organizations: Fundación Vida Silvestre, Fundación León, Techo, Equipo Latinoamericano de Justicia y Género (ELA), Amnistía Internacional Argentina, Proyecto Educar 2050, and Fundación Tzedaká.

• Perspectiva Civica America Latina y el Caribe

Dear project supporters, 

Thank you for helping RACI on our main task to strengthen Civil Society Organizations in Argentina and Latin America and the Caribbean. Your support and contribution was essential to continue this process!

To approach our mission, we are carrying out workshops, webinars and labs on themes such as innovation, design thinking, transparency and accountability, strategic planning, diversity, and access to resources. 

Among the workshops provided we can mention our capacity building cycle, on themes such as access to resources, project management, strategic planning, diversity and inclusion; and the Design Thinking workshop done in alliance with Banco Galicia, with the purpose of fostering creativity and innovation for project management. We also offered six informative webinars, one of them managed by RACI and the others in alliance with our members. 

Considering the Advocacy Area, in 2022, RACI attended GCBA Meeting and the CIVICUS’ Board Meeting. Moreover, we have seventeen ongoing projects, six of them are new projects that were approved. 

Regarding the Research Area, we carried out two regional research projects with the support of Innovation for Change: Civic Perspective Latin America and Visible Diversity.

In addition, as we do every year, we continue the dialogue on specific issues with social organizations through the creation of co-created agenda groups that function as articulation spaces among members to share good practices and make constructive suggestions on the following topics: projects, administration and diversity. 

Considering other important events, we can mention the membership process. By August, 29 new members will be joining the Network. On the other hand, this year we will be holding the elections for the Executive Committee. These elections will be held by the end of October.
