Dear friends,
The past weeks flew by with such amazing speed that we didn't realize that two months of this year had passed already. We were super busy with several rescue missions—simultaneously heartbreaking and heartwarming! Amidst that, we are just grateful for all your support, which has seen us through some tough times and cheered us through the challenges that we face from time to time.
Rescues take the prime seat once again, and we have a few amazing stories of recovery and adoptions to share. The Sanctuary Hospital has become functional and has started to undertake regular spay and neuter surgeries for street animals. Two of the six pets rescued from an illegal breeder in emaciated condition—Pushparaj and Krish are fully healed and have found their forever homes, while sweet Aladdin and others are still awaiting families to call their own.
When we first found little Alex, his big brown eyes told a heartbreaking story of pain and fear. This sweet boy’s forelimb was crushed, and it seemed like the end of the road. But that day marked a turning point. With love, support, and a life-saving blood donation from another rescue pet, Rani, Alex found the strength to survive and undergo surgery. Today, he’s fully recovered and back with his loving mom, ready to share his journey of second chance! Alex’s story is a reminder that no matter how tough life gets, there’s always hope for a new beginning.
Volunteers helped make our days brighter, and they filled in wherever there was a need – from bathing, cleaning, socializing, to bandaging and assisting the vets, their presence brought cheer to all the residents in abundant measure.
With the increasing number of rescues, the number of our sanctuary residents has been going up. For a sponsorship of just USD 50 per month, each pet is available for virtual adoption. However, more than 50% of the permanent residents still need sponsors. We look forward to your generous support in giving them a second chance.
Thank you!
