July and August were months of heartwarming adoptions and rescue missions. Highlight of these two months has been the incredible rescue efforts by one of our amazing staff members — Jeeva, who was instrumental in making a difference to several abandoned and injured animals on the streets of the city. Your unstinting support ensured that we got sufficient funds to cover the cost of treatment and care for these animals. The heartwarming stories of their recovery and adoption stand testimony to your kindness and compassion.
Duke's life began on unforgiving streets, abandoned and alone. His rugged exterior hid a gentle soul yearning for love and affection. Vaccinated and neutered, Duke soon endeared himself to all our staff. Fast forward few weeks, and not entirely to our surprise, he got whisked away by a loving family that was looking to fill the void left by their long-term beloved pet. Fairy tales like this is made possible only by your support.
Goldie and Champ's journey is one of resilinece and love. After fate dealing a cruel hand to both of them, under different circumstances, it was fate again that united them at our rescue centre where they became roomies and best friends! No visitor could help falling in love with the duo and that's what happened to Sabari who was seeking to adopt. Goldie and Champ, once victims of circumstances beyond their control have now embarked on a journey of adventure and love. Sabari's decision to welcome them home is but a celebration of their resilience and the boundless joy that they bring to this world.
These two months also witnessed several volunteering activities by youngsters who rolled up their sleeves to jump right in where help was needed. From bathing and grooming to socializing and cleaning, they immersed themselves whole-heartedly and with unwavering dedication and commitment in anything that needed assistance. Needless to state, their presence brought a lot of cheer to our residents who received an extra load of cuddles.
As the number of permanent animals in our sanctuary is steadily increasing, we request your continued support. Your $50 donation sponsors the treatment and care of one rescue pet for a whole month while your $25 donation covers the cost of dry food for all the 100 dogs of the sanctuary for a whole day. If you would be willing to make a small recurring monthly donation, that would go a long way in helping us care for more needy souls. Kindly encourage your friends and family too to make a small donation when possible. Thank you for being the voice of the voiceless!
