"We delivered your fresh bread to the orphan Said

Dear Donor,

In Maram Refugee Camp, located in northern Syria, lives a young boy named Said, who lost his father to a terminal illness. Said, who no longer carries the happiness his name implies, is an orphan. He became responsible for taking care of his infant brother and mother after his father’s passing. This child, who should be playing and enjoying his childhood, is now the sole provider for his family, carrying a burden far beyond his years.

Thanks to your generous support, our team was able to reach Said’s family. We spoke with him about his hopes and dreams for the future. He promised us that he would not give up on his studies despite the hardships, and that he would strive to build a better future for himself and his family. He also promised that he would stay hopeful, and that we would continue to visit him regularly to provide him with fresh bread.

Thanks to your donations, our team was able to distribute fresh bread to most of the displaced people in this camp, including Said’s family. This bread is more than just food for them—it is hope, it is life. It helps them survive another day in this harsh reality.

Adham's message to you: "Please continue bringing fresh bread every day."

Dear Donor,

In a small camp on the outskirts of Azaz city in northern Syria, innocent children face harsh conditions that many cannot endure. These children, who you see in the picture, live in Maram Refugee Camp, where their only hope lies in your support. Children like Omar, Adnan, and Adham, who lost everything in an instant, in a tragic event that changed their lives forever.

Omar, Adnan, and Adham, cousins, were playing football together in a small yard when an airstrike hit a building where their families were staying. In a single moment, that building was reduced to rubble, tearing the family apart. These children lost their parents and became homeless and without a provider two years ago. Their lives turned into a mixture of sorrow and devastation, surrounded by fear and hunger.

Thanks to your generous support, we have been able to provide bread for them and many of the displaced people here in the camp. However, they are still in dire need of your help. Along with the cruelty they endure, these children lack the simplest necessities of life. The youngest child, Adham, who is only a few years old, asked us for something simple, but one that carries the weight of survival. He said, "I want fresh bread every day, there is nothing else to eat." Adham’s words were like a cry in silence—his simple request is the only hope he has to survive.

We promised him that we would do our best to fulfill his request, and today we bring you this message from Adham, hoping that with your continued donations, we can meet his simple needs and keep the flame of hope alive in his heart and the hearts of many other children in this camp. One loaf of bread may seem simple, but for this child, it means survival—it means he has a chance to see another morning.

Ali ran joyfully with the bread!

The children you see in the picture are victims of the crimes and violence that surrounded them. Their fate is to live in tents that offer no protection from the winter cold or the scorching summer heat. Yet, despite these tragic conditions, there is still a spark of hope in their eyes, and this hope is made possible by your generous support.

The child Ali, who you see in the picture, is a simple example of what bread means to children in the camps. When we gave him the bread, he joyfully lifted it onto his shoulder and ran with it as if he had won a full amusement park. This moment, which may seem simple to us, was a monumental moment for Ali. It had been many days since he had seen bread, and this loaf meant more than just food; it symbolized dignity, life, and hope.

Ali, who lives with his three siblings in the Maram camp in northern Syria, is one of thousands of children who suffer from extreme poverty and hardship. Their pain grows daily, and their suffering intensifies with every moment of deprivation. But thanks to your generous donations, we were able to bring bread to most of this informal camp, and the joy we saw in the eyes of the families was indescribable. It was a deeply emotional moment for them, as they felt someone was paying attention to their suffering, and someone cared for them in their darkest times.

This aid is not just about distributing food—it is about offering a renewed hope. For children like Ali and his friends, this bread means life with dignity and a restoration of humanity in a situation that has stripped them of everything. Continuing to support this project means continuing life for many families who have lost everything, and providing the basics of survival that are considered a luxury for them.
