Project Report | Mar 28, 2025
Maher is an orphaned displaced child who does not have the price of a piece of bread.

By muhammed deebeh | project leader

Dear Donor,

The child Maher, who lives in the Al-Hayat camp in the countryside of Azaz, northern Syria, is a living example of the suffering many children endure in the midst of war and displacement. Maher is chld, yet he carries burdens larger than his age. He grew up an orphan in this camp, having lost his parents and siblings, and relies on his poor neighbors for daily support. He looks at life with eyes filled with both hope and sorrow, and in his simple words, he expressed his dream of growing up, working, and being able to buy bread to distribute to the poor, because for him, "bread" is not just food—it is a symbol of hope and life.

Providing bread for him, his host family, and other displaced people in the camp was made possible thanks to your generous support. The help you have provided was not just about providing food; it was also about giving hope to a young child like Maher, who lives under the weight of difficult circumstances.

The importance of this assistance in Maher's life lies in the fact that it not only met his daily needs but also helped nurture hope within him. It reassured him that there are people who support him and are striving to provide the basic necessities of life. The support Maher and his peers received from this project contributed to alleviating part of their suffering and made them feel valued as human beings.

The continued support for this project is of great importance, not only for Maher and other children in his situation but because it helps improve their daily lives and opens doors of hope for them. This project goes beyond bread distribution; it has a deep social impact in displaced communities, where every piece of bread distributed becomes a message of love and care from generous people who do not hesitate to lend a helping hand.

We are truly grateful for your ongoing support. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a big difference in the lives of these children and their families. We hope you will continue to support this vital project, as the results of this support are evident in the positive impact it has on the hearts of those in need.

Thank you for your generosity. You are truly a key partner in bringing smiles and providing a livelihood for those who deserve it.

With many thanks,
