Your Support Revives Hope for Amir's Family

In Maram Camp, northern Syria, where endless rows of tents stretch across the horizon, Amir lives with his parents and five siblings in conditions unfit for human life. The cold pierces through their fragile tent in winter, while the summer heat turns it into an unbearable furnace. Clean water is scarce, food is insufficient, and yet, Amir’s father struggles every day to provide his family with a dignified life despite the relentless hardships.

A Father’s Struggle for His Children

Amir’s father works in a poultry farm in rural Souran, spending long hours in grueling labor. Yet, his meager income barely covers the family’s most basic needs. Days pass with difficulty, and often, he finds himself unable to afford even the simplest necessities—like bread—now a heavy burden due to soaring prices and dwindling resources.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide bread for Amir’s family, ensuring they have daily sustenance to ease their suffering. Riyad A Child with a Man's Burden, Fighting for His Family

In northern Syria, where displacement camps stretch as far as the eye can see, thousands of families endure harsh conditions, struggling daily to secure food and basic necessities. In 2025, their suffering continues to worsen with rising prices and scarce resources, making life even more difficult for families who have lost their breadwinners.

Riyad… A Child with a Man’s Burden

Riyad, only thirteen years old, never had the chance to experience childhood as it should be. He was forced to take responsibility for his family at the age of eleven after his father lost his life in a workplace explosion, leaving behind a wife and three children without support. Suddenly, Riyad became the sole provider for his mother and siblings, working in a men’s barbershop in the city of Souran—a profession he loves—while struggling daily to meet his family's needs. Alongside him, his mother does her best as a seamstress, trying to provide them with a dignified life despite the overwhelming hardships.

Khaled... A Child Bearing the Burden of an Entire Family - Be His Support

In the camps of northern Syria, thousands of families continue to suffer, finding themselves without shelter or a provider, facing harsh humanitarian conditions that worsen with scarce resources and ongoing instability. Children here do not experience childhood as they should; instead, they bear burdens far beyond their years. Among them is Khaled, who had to take on the responsibility of providing for his family at a very young age.

Khaled… A Child Who Became the Breadwinner
Two years ago, Khaled lost his father to cancer, leaving him as the sole provider for his family. With no other choice, he started working in agriculture for a meager wage, striving to secure the basic needs of his mother and three younger siblings. Khaled and his family live on the outskirts of Suran, northern Syria, in harsh conditions where securing food and essentials is a daily struggle.
