The number of people infected with the Delta Variant is increasing at an accelerating pace that exceeds the capacity of our three hospitals to accommodate new patients every day. We have 21 patients in in the intensive care, and 78 patients in the isolation wards. Unfortunately, two of the patients have died though our devices are operating at maximum capacity.
While the oxygen stations are operating at their full capacity, we are still in need of additional quantities which we are temporarily able to secure from other hospitals as well as from the available reserve of oxygen cylinders.
The increase in admissions in the three isolation hospitals has caused great pressure on these hospitals, and on the working staff. Although our health teams have undergone extensive training in controlling infections, we are still recording new cases among our medical staff, and this is attributed to the severe infection and symptoms caused by the new Delta Variant of the virus, which is considered more widespread even among children and young adults.
Your donation is more powerful than you think, and it means that our patients can continue breathing. Your support is a matter of life or death.
