Funds raised through GlobalGiving to support Compassionate Hands in 2020 were utilized to support the Rehema Farms initiative, and in the October 2020 report, Anne, the Executive Director reported that funds allowed the purchase of a water purification system, poultry, dairy stock feed, as well as seedlings and pesticides for the greenhouse. Below is an update from Anne on the continued success of the Rehema Farms initiative to provide nourishment for the children at Compassionate Hands and also to provide excess revenue to support the children by selling goods.
Greetings,
I feel that despite the many circumstances which at times feel like swimming out in the many waters, God is good to us. He is faithful!
The children are well and constantly happy, Thank God! It amazes me on the level of their gratitude.
Everything received is much appreciated. We thank God the project is going very well and is helping especially with basic food.
We get milk for the children from the cows, which makes a signficant impact. Until December we harvested tomatoes. We consumed some and some we sold to neighbors, together with water. This enabled us to raise $300 US Dollars for government registration in the disability department, for 15 children. This will see the 15 children get consideration on any available government help in the future. We hope to register more as time goes by.
We have been able to provide food from the farm which includes vegetables, chicken eggs and meat. We continue to enjoy clean water from rehma (compassionate) waters. We also thank God for other supplies paid for with project income, such as diapers and toiletries.
We have seen increased activities and vibrant participation by the children. This we attribute to improved nutrition and availed resources.
We constantly appreciate the impact that came from the funds from the GlobalGiving Campaign. It puts us in a better and hopeful place of improving the lives of the children. We are grateful that the smiles rubber stamps their joys.
The future tells us the projects will continue to grow. We shall hope for more milk, enough vegetables, eggs, meat and so forth. We thank God for what he is doing in our lives, Thanks to you.
Anne
