We have been busy running our competitive application and selection process for the scholarship awardees for attendance at this summer’s 66th London International Youth Science Forum. Information about our scholarship programme was distributed to an extensive network of schools contacts and youth programmes across the Africa. An online information session was held early in February 2025 ahead of the application deadline at the end of that month. We received over 75 applications from nine countries. Shortlisting and interviews took place in March and we are pleased to announce that seven scholarships have been awarded to students from Cameroon, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda.

We are now working with local partners in each country to secure travel documents for each student and look forward to welcoming them all to London this summer.

In addition to these scholarships to support in person attendance, we have also facilitated online attendance at the Forum for at least 65 other students.
