Dear Friends and Supporters,
We would like to share with you yet another achieved milestone of ours during the past week!
As we believe in continuous development, we organized training for our teams from Sofia and Plovdiv. Our guest lecturer was Rebecca Singer, DNP, RN - an international professional in global health, and a renowned professor in nursing at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Our nurses and midwives got an in-depth knowledge of the risks to the professional quality of life. They obtained knowledge and skills about how they can identify signs of burnout or secondary trauma, what tools they can use to assess them, and how to protect themselves from these conditions. A special part of the training was dedicated to the importance of storytelling as one of the therapeutic approaches to caring for oneself and for NFP clients.
The central team of the Nurse-Family Partnership program at the Trust for Social Achievement Foundation is extremely satisfied with the training because along with the whole incredible learning environment which Rebecca Singer provided, our midwives and nurses strengthened their connection and created a hub for ideas, where they shared various practices they use during home-visits.
Firmly trusting that with united forces we can help more young women become part of our program and enrich their lives as a result of our service, we would like to kindly urge you to become our ally by donating for our cause!
Become our donor and be part of the positive change for vulnerable poor families in Bulgaria!
