Nurse Family Partnership Program in Bulgaria

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are more than grateful for your contribution to our mission of helping young mothers receive home visits from our medical professionals! We are working with young women, living in the marginalized areas of the cities of Sofia and Plovdiv, who expect their firstborns. Many of the girls face social and financial restraints which result in them not receiving the proper medical care they need.

Because of our Nurse-Family Partnership service we have helped many women become more aware of their expectant role as mothers, gave them the essential kit of knowledge and tips they need to possess in order to raise a healthy child, and provided them with moral support helping them become more self-confident and continue pursuing their education or career path.

Speaking in numbers, since 2016 we have had 324 girls benefiting from our services. 138 women are still active participants in the program and continue their journey with their assigned home-visiting nurse or midwife. Moreover, throughout the years exactly 243 babies were born by moms in our service, 84 of which are still being part of the program. What is even more impressive is that our medical professionals have conducted more than 11 000 home visits and this number continues to grow each day!

We believe that together we can help more young women become part of the Nurse-Family Partnership services and assist them through their journey of raising a new healthy generation!
