Water Supply For Children and Their Families

Dear Friend,

Greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing water supply for children and their families. This reporting period we are fortunate to note that rain is continuous and have provided our beneficiaries with access to rainwater. Our focus is on the promotion of organic gardening activities as supplemental source of protein in the household especially during this time that the Coronavirus pandemic is affecting a lot of families. During this reporting period we demonstrate and train our farmer leaders in the production and use of organic fertilizer using local materials found around the village. We were able to train a total of 72 farmers in this manner and we will follow them up in order to ensure that they will apply their learning in their own farms. Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing water to remote villages. Water is becoming scarce here and sources are in distant mountains and the most burdened are women and children who are relegated the task of fetching water often walking long distances. This reporting period, we provided water to a small cluster of 15 families by providing them materials where they are able to draw water from an uphill stream by means of gravity. This technique is fairly simple and entails the use of polyethylene pipes drawing water from a spring or reservoir. The system will last for many years and maintenance is very low. Hoping for your continuing support so that we are able to construct additional water systems like this.
