On September 26th, 2017, the first medical care day was organized by Un Buen Grupo de Amigos after many communities were strongly affected by the earthquakes that took place on September 7th and 19th. More than 2 years have passed since then, and our work has not stopped; once a month we visit a community that continues suffering the consequences of the 2017 earthquakes.
Today we would like you to meet Pablo, thanks to people like him who volunteers on our Free Medical Care Days, we have been able to keep on helping these communities.
“As a volunteer, I think it is very important to bring health services to low-income communities. More, because we give attention to everyone who needs it, we don’t discriminate anyone, people just have to assist to receive the attention they both need and deserve. It is a great experience because we go to small towns, we learn about their culture, we get to know how people live and the people we attend are grateful for the service we give. This experience has helped me value everything I have in my life.”
With the help of your donations, our staff and many other volunteers like Pablo, we have been able to beneficiate more than 500 people in the past 3 months, with medical and dental assistance, as well as our Health Promotion Workshops.
Thank you so much!
