Send a Child to School, Gift for Life

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generosity in supporting us to send a child to school. Education for the poor is often the only pathway to success and a happy life here. Without education, children follow the path of their parents who are poor and unable to improve their conditions in life. However, education is very difficult to access with money of the family not even enough to buy food and basic ameneties. There is a dire need for outside helpers to help with funds in order to pay for school uniform, food and daily attendance to school. This reporting period, being the end of the year we are doing assessment and programming in order to continue our work by next year after the Christmas holidays. Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support providing education to poor children. Children who are able to finish their schooling have a clear advantage and a ticket to a good life. Our approach in helping them this time is to provide them and their families with livelihood support which are easy to do and gives them high return in the short term. One of these is the raising of native pigs grown organically which fetch high income and is sought after by health conscious people. We train the recipients how to grow the pigs by feeding them excess crops from the farm and edible grasses like fern and taro. Leaves of sweet potato and cassava are a delicacy too for the pigs. This reporting period we are able to disperse 15 piglets to 15 families.
