Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support providing education to poor children. Children who are able to finish their schooling have a clear advantage and a ticket to a good life. Our approach in helping them this time is to provide them and their families with livelihood support which are easy to do and gives them high return in the short term. One of these is the raising of native pigs grown organically which fetch high income and is sought after by health conscious people. We train the recipients how to grow the pigs by feeding them excess crops from the farm and edible grasses like fern and taro. Leaves of sweet potato and cassava are a delicacy too for the pigs. This reporting period we are able to disperse 15 piglets to 15 families.
