It is a pleasure to share updates on this interesting project and thank you for your donations! I also hope you are all keeping well in this challenging period. Deborah and Patricia resumed school again in January after the 2019 end of year holidays but had to stop school last week due to the outbreak of COVID - 19 in Nigeria.
During this period of stay at home, we will continue to provide housing, food and other identified needs for Deborah and Patricia while educating them and their host families about hygiene and healthy living.
We have also attached pictures of Deborah and Patricia in their school uniforms and with their classmates to show that we have made progress as a result of your donations. Thank you once again for your support and look forward to more donations as we move forward.
Best wishes,
Theophilus Ekpon

2019 End of Year Updates
By Theophilus Ekpon | Project Coordinator
Season greetings to all donors and supporters of this interesting project! It is our pleasure to inform you that Deborah and Patricia continue to benefit from this project. Both of them are excited with their Primary School and are making progress with their studies. They continue to stay with host families where they are fed and taken care of through a monthly stipend handed to the host family by CSDEA courtesy of your generous donations.
In 2020, we are looking to increasing our fundraising for this project to ensure that Deborah and Patricia continue to go to school and be cared for so they can realise their full potentials in life. We also intend to enlist new children who have been orphaned as a result of the activities of violent extremist groups into this project in the New Year.
We cannot do this alone and need your support to reach out to friends and family to donate to this wonderful project. Together, we can make it! Thank you all for your support to this project!!

We are happy to inform all supporters of this project that two young girls named Deborah and Patricia have started benefitting from this project. Deborah is 11 years old and was orphaned as a result of the activities of violent extremist groups. Her parents were killed when she was 40 weeks old and have been surviving under the worst conditions since then. She has been roaming the streets hawking for an old woman who seldom supports her and dozens of other orphans who agree to hawk her merchandise on the streets. With the support of this project, Deborah has started going to a primary school and has been temporarily taken in by a host family who receive a monthly stipend from the Centre for Sustainable Development and Education in Africa (CSDEA) for her upkeep. Deborah is so excited at this new development in her life and she is so grateful to all those who have made this possible for her.
Patricia is 5 years old and her father got killed by violent extremists in the North East of Nigeria. Her mother is blind and she is the last of four siblings. Her three elder siblings hawk water on the street, while Patricia accompanies her blind mother to go begging. Patricia has started going to a primary school and has also been temporarily taken in by a host family who receive a monthly stipend from the CSDEA for her upkeep and wellbeing. Patricia is also very happy about this new phase of her life and she says thank you to all those who made this possible for her.
Please keep donating to fhis project and also reach out to friends and family to support these wonderful children realize their potentials in life. Thank you all for your support to this project!
