Little Explorers is an extraordinary time for children who, due to disabilities, cannot go to summer camps with healthy children.
For these children, since 2015, we have been organizing real camps - without parents, but with plenty of activities and attractions. There is no tedious rehabilitation, instead there is learning independence through fun! 22 children with intellectual disabilities from all over Poland came to us from July 11-15. Some of them required 1-on-1 care. Daily activities were held at the Rehabilitation Center, in the day care center and outdoors. The children slept in a neighboring school.
Participation in the camp is free of charge, so that money is not an obstacle for parents.
During this camp 8 retired volunteer doctors (neurologists, oncologist, internists, nephrologist, gynecologist, surgeon) came to visit us. They diagnosed wards of our Foundation and refugees from Ukraine at the Rehabilitation Center. These retired doctors studied medicine together with doctor Piotr Janaszek - a Patron of the PAY IT FORWARD Foundation who died in a car accident in 1998.
