Hello Friends of the Hogar San José,
Another year flew by! Summer is in full bloom and it is difficult for our girls to spend all summer at the home. Most volunteers stop their activities, no more school schedule and the days can become endless.
That is why we make a big effort to take them on holidays for a few days. These last four years we have been to La Cumbre, which is a small town in the Sierras de Córdoba, in the middle of the country. It is a 10 hour bus ride from the home.
La Cumbre has rivers, spectacular sunsets, mountains, and varied nature. We have stayed in a retreat house, that we can rent for a very low price.
For the girls, being able to go on holiday just like any other kid, means so much. They plan for weeks in advance, and the fun and story telling about the holidays goes on for a few months after they get back. But the memories are kept forever!
Thank you to all that have made this possible. Since a picture speaks more than a thousand words, here are some taken during the holidays, and we hope you will enjoy them.
Thank you for helping us help these girls!!
