Hello Friends of the Hogar San José,
This year has been a good one for the Hogar San José. Our girls are doing well at school, and most of them can enjoy a sports, dancing or art lesson after school.
We have been working together with Andrea, from SAL foundation. Andrea and her team organize activities and follow up with our girls over 16 years old. The objective is to start working self sufficiency and empowerment skills, which is not something that comes naturally when you live in a home, with permanent care.
We have had some of our volunteers visit the Hogar San José to share a meal with the girls, a picture speaks a thousand words!
We have had a new president since mid December, and the beginning was very difficult, with inflation over 250% in the last year. This has made us stretch ourselves very thin, so if you can send some help our way, it will be greatly appreciated. Inflation in the last 3 months has come down, so hopefully, things will get better.
Thank you for helping us help these girls!!
