This week we had our first snowfall of the season in Baltimore City...really our first snow/sleet/rain of the season. During the storm, the gentleman that normally stands on our corner soliciting help was notably absent. I'm hoping he was able to stay warm and dry in one of the City's emergency shelters, but his absence reminded me how blessed our women and children are to have a roof over their heads each night and a safe place to sleep. They are not out on the street during a winter storm in the City.
You make that possible.
Your donation provides housing and supportive services to Baltimore's most vulnerable citizens - women and children experiencing homelessness. Because of you, our women and children have opportunity.
Women like "Frankie" have the opportunity to obtain gainful employment where they are awarded employee of the month.
All of our children have the opportunity to attend summer camp or find summertime employment, and they have the opportunity to attend the same school for as long as they are with us.
Women like “Tonya” have the opportunity to obtain support such as bags of nonperishable food donated by a local high school.
All of these opportunities are possible because of your support. Without you, the Women’s Housing Coalition would not be able to house these women and children and provide them with these opportunities.
Thank you. We are incredibly grateful for your support!
