Like 2020, 2021 was for everyone, without exception, a difficult and very complicated year; from the beginning of the pandemic, and until October 2021, classes in all universities and schools in the country were held remotely, which represented for most of our students an additional challenge to the one they already face on a regular basis; especially not having the necessary technological tools to attend and efficiently take advantage of the virtual classes taught by their respective schools (obsolete equipment, little or no internet connection, lack of electricity in their homes). However, overcoming all these obstacles, eight of our scholarship recipients completed their studies and successfully graduated, and eight young people, despite the adversities, decided to begin their higher education studies aspiring to a better future for themselves and their families.

At the end of 2021 some universities, observing the corresponding biosecurity measures, decided to hold the graduation ceremony, where only graduates and their parents could attend.

The following are the testimonials of Yelibeth and Daniel's mentor after their graduation.

Yelibeth

Graduate in Education, with specialization in Pedagogical Sciences.

Universidad Católica Andrés Bello-UCAB.

Caracas-Venezuela

Words addressed to her mentor Prof. Beatriz Rodriguez:

"Good morning professor How are you? Today I am pleased to share this photo with you. On Wednesday 13th of this month (October 2021) was my graduation ceremony , this achievement would not have been possible without the support of you and the foundation, I will always be grateful to you for giving me the opportunity to continue my studies, for supporting me and especially for always standing by the Education of our country ."

Daniel

Systems Engineering Graduate

Universidad Metropolitana- UNIMET

Caracas-Venezuela

Words from his mentor, Jorge Zurita:

"I share with you this photo of our scholarship student Daniel, already with his diploma of Systems Engineer from UNIMET. Due to biosecurity measures the university limited access to the ceremony and unfortunately, I was unable to accompany him in such a special moment, but by heart we all did.

One more achievement for which we should feel proud to belong to this foundation, because we are "sowing the seeds of education" and leaving our contribution to society and to the country. Thanks for letting me be part of this!!!!"

Fundación Oportunidad y Futuro begins the year 2022 with 35 active students. All of them receive a monthly scholarship for food and transportation that is periodically adjusted according to inflation indexes. In addition, the 31 scholarship recipients who study at private universities receive a full scholarship that includes 100% of their university tuition.

Here is a summary of the careers studied by our scholarship recipients:

Yelibeth

Graduada en Educación mención Ciencias Pedagógicas

 Universidad Católica Andrés Bello-UCAB.

 Caracas-Venezuela
