The year 2017 marks our 40th year of service. Fatima Memorial Hospital was launched in 1977 to serve communities regardless of their means to pay. What started out as a 200 bedded hospital for women and children is today a 510 bedded tertiary care teaching hospital providing almost every specialty under one roof.
After 40 years of service, we would proudly mention that 85% of our patients are provided care on subsidized rates or treated free of cost. We are honored of what we have achieved so far and look forward to grow further in helping the under privileged community. We also focus on keeping our traditions alive and spreading happiness among these people.
During the month of Ramadan, like last year, we served iftar to handful of patients and the under privileged. This is a month of blessings and through your continued support; we were able to provide them iftar. This is a tradition we have always emphasized on and we continued to serve our patients this year as well. These efforts make us an institution that believes that every patient is a guest and we have to serve our guests and their families. Through your donations and support, we would like to carry on this goodwill gesture for future as well. Since the number of patients is increasing day by day, your generous support will ensure that our community work is not halted at any point and we are well prepared for the future.
Iftari is the meal served after breaking of Fast in the holy month of Ramadan and since the patients come from very poor backgrounds a proper meal is sometimes simply not possible thus we serve our patients and their families iftari.
