Happy new year to the Ki Culture community! Thank you to all the generous donors who continue to make Ki Culture’s work possible. We are delighted to report that the Ki Futures Pilot Program was a huge success! Ki Futures is a core element to Ki Culture’s founding vision, and it was incredibly rewarding to see the pilot community come together and make the vision a reality. If you have not yet heard of this international program that connects institutions, cultural professionals, and sustainability specialists with each other and the resources needed to effect sustainable change in the arts and culture sectors, come have a look on our website or social media!
The Ki Futures model recognises that saving the arts and saving the world is a collaborative and continuous endeavor, and upon conclusion of the Pilot, the official program began in January 2022! Participants from across the world have enrolled in the program, such as The Henry Ford Museum (USA), Estonian Art Museum (Estonia), Terra Foundation for American Art (France/USA), The National Museum of Lagos (Nigeria), Museo Moderno (Argentina), and M Leuven (Belgium).
Over the past few months, a number of new volunteers have joined us from across the globe, and will play an integral part in running the organization. If you, or someone you know, is interested in volunteering with Ki Culture, contact us at info@kiculture.org. You do not need to be a cultural professional or a sustainability expert! There are so many facets to this work that we can surely find a place for your talents. If you, or anyone you know, would like to help with translations, fundraising, business administration, coordinating or project management, please let us know. This is a co-creative community and the more input we get, the better outputs we can provide!
Ki Culture continues to engage with numerous projects and programming, including preparing for the release of our next three Ki Books due out this year: Education & Engagement, Exhibitions, and Sustainable Tourism. We also continue to be active in various publications and conferences, spreading the word and inspiring the sector globally.
As we welcome the new and continuing participants of Ki Futures, we feel immense gratitude towards the pilot cohort for leading fearlessly and inspiring hope throughout the sector, and to our supporters and donors as we continue to bring sustainability to the culture sector.
