The partnership between Stichting Ki Culture and GlobalGiving continues to support a future of sustainability in the cultural heritage sector. Thanks to the generous support of our donors, Ki Culture has so far raised over 11,000 Euros on the GlobalGiving platform! Our two current projects continue to remain active, and any donations will go a long way in helping Ki Culture achieve its mission of contributing to a sustainable future through the cultural sector. We have less than 30% left of our target goal for Making Culture Sustainable Globally which enables us to enable individuals, institutions, and communities to make concrete sustainability decisions.
Ki Trainings
After the release of three Ki Books in January this year, Ki Culture started a soft-launch of the Ki Trainings, a supplement to our Ki Books. These Trainings offered individuals deep dives into social and environmental themes, combining theoretical insights and practical applications. They were live, interactive sessions used to complement the information provided in the Ki Books and to spur action and conversation about solutions available on a local scale. The topics covered were Introduction to Sustainability, Energy, Social Sustainability, and Waste & Materials. These Trainings were well received by those who attended, and we look forward to pursuing more Trainings as our programming develops over the next few months.
Ki Team Updates
The Ki team is expanding, and now comprises over 100 members of staff, volunteers and interns! It is the biggest expansion of membership we’ve had since the non-profit launched in 2019. We are undoubtedly grateful for all the support our team gives us as nothing we do would be possible without our collaborative strength. We now have an integrated IT team for our website and internal communication, and our social media team, having the largest growth this year, has been highly proactive and productive getting Caitlin, our Founder, to speak for numerous virtual functions including an episode of the Green Museum Podcast!
We Don’t Have Time
Speaking of Social Media, Ki Culture is now officially a certified account on the platform “We Don’t Have Time” which seeks to engage the public with climate action solutions and warn of particularly problematic practices. On this platform we have over 3,000 followers, our largest audience on any of our social media platforms. We’re excited to be an active contributor to the conversations in this network and have our goals shared with people ready to take active steps towards a sustainable future. If you are a member of “We Don’t Have Time”, consider joining our conversations or leaving a review for Ki Culture since a tree is planted for every climate review sent to an account that is Open for Climate Dialogue.
