Dear donors and GlobalGiving community, this is a brief report to reiterate the status of the #IAmProtagonist project, which was supported during the past year with donations from the platform and was successfully executed, as stated in the reports sent on the requested dates.
We would like to clarify that in 2022, between January and August, we received about US$14,000.00 for activities of this project, as explained in the last report. In that document, we had already requested the closure of the project at GlobalGiving, because in 2023 our campaigns went to other projects opened here and there were no donations to #IAmProtagonist.
It should be noted that the amount collected via GG platform is not enough to cover the entire project, which requires U$100,000.00, so we have other forms of national support. We got donations via tax incentive in our country, however, due to Brazilian bureaucracy, this amount has not yet been released to us and, therefore, it was not possible to continue the project this year.
In this way, we ask, once again, for the deactivation of the #IAmProtagonist project, and we deeply appreciate the support and generosity of each one that made it possible in the past.
