The long cold winter is finally over and our team is ready to welcome the children with special needs in our 3rd Program for Free Therapeutic Riding.
Thank you all for being with us! Your support makes a difference for the lives of the disabled children and their families!
We received many applications from families with children with disabilities. Unfortunately, we had to reject some of them due to the limited size of the individual therapeutic sessions we can manage within the Program. Hopefully, with the development of the Program and the establishment of the therapeutic riding centre we will be able to have more instructors certified. That will allow us to reach even more children in need.
The 3rd Program for Free Therapeutic Riding was scheduled to begin on 1st of April. However, due to the pandemic of COVID-19 and the restrictions in Bulgaria we had to postpone it. Protecting the health and well-being of the children is our priority. They will begin attending their therapeutic sessions only after the situation allows it and it is safe to travel and be in contact with others.
The delay of the Program and the isolation due to the pandemic has devastating effect on the health of children with disabilities. Parents shared that many of the children become nervous, have panic attacks and show aggression. They will be in need of intensive recovery care in order to return to their normal routine. We have modified the Program and we are ready to help them get better. Join us in supporting their rehabilitation in the upcoming months!
