Arthritis is very common but is not well understood. Actually, “arthritis” is not a single disease; it is an informal way of referring to joint pain or joint disease. There are more than 100 different types of arthritis and related conditions. People of all ages, sexes and races can and do have arthritis, and it is the leading cause of disability in America. More than 50 million adults and 300,000 children have some type of arthritis. It is most common among women and occurs more frequently as people get older.
Out of many cases, case of Mr. Sajjad who is a 37 year old accountant has been suffering from psoriatic arthritis since 2008. He was adequately treated with conventional oral drugs but unfortunately had poor response. Being the breadwinner of the family, he was finding work difficult with persistent pain due to uncontrolled arthritis. He was then given Biologics (Enbrel) funded through your donations. Thankfully, he has responded well to this treatment and he is now 80% better and free of pain.
Arthritis Care Foundation (ACF) in collaboration with Fatima Memorial Hospital continues to serve many patients who cannot afford the treatment expenses.
There are numerous patients like Mr. Sajjad, who require treatment and are in no position to afford the treatment. Your generous support in this cause is requested so that we can ensure they are treated timely.
We once again strongly urge your support towards this cause and help us reduce this painful disease.
Thank you!
