Helping 16 low income students return to college

On its seventh year of service, the Daniel Rojas Mora Foundation is proud to have sponsored seventeen talented young individuals, all coming from underserved communities and facing significant financial challenges that prevented them from being able to cover their tuition expenses and keep on going with their higher education careers.

The main reason why the Daniel Rojas Mora Foundation has been able to keep on going for seven years now is because it has been blessed with the financial support of many kindhearted individuals, foundations and companies that have always contributed to the cause with generous donations that have allowed the Foundation to comply with its mission.

So far, twelve beneficiaries have been able to graduate and become professionals with the support of our kind donors, in such important careers as Information Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering and Business Administration. We are happy to report that our sponsored alumni are all employed and contributing to society as professionals. This has not only benefited themselves, but also their families which, as mentioned, are all financially challenged.

Our beneficiaries that are still studying are being supported by the Foundation and their University in order to contribute to their good academic performance and eventually to securing their professional title.

The Daniel Rojas Mora is very happy to report that thanks to our donor’s generous financial support, we have managed to sponsor seventeen young motivated and talented individuals, which have been positively impacted forever, as well as their families and loved ones.

As you know all our beneficiaries come from financially challenged environments and have found themselves in a strain situation as their families have not found access to the necessary resources to keep paying their university tuitions. The Daniel Rojas Mora Foundation sponsors students that have successfully completed half or more of their academic career, but that are facing the above-described lack of financial resources, and hence must abort their studies.

This semester the Daniel Rojas Mora Foundation has sponsored two new students, one of which has certain physical disabilities, and its really challenging for him to get to the University and to get back home every day. Many people around him have advised him to attend a school that is closer to home, even though the education quality is not as good. Yet, he has persisted in his desire to attend the best possible College he has access to and hence he is willing to overcome all the transportation challenges. Since his family was no longer able to keep supporting his studies, the Daniel Rojas Mora Foundation decided to reward his outstanding efforts and to sponsor the rest of his career.

Again, all these wouldn’t be possible if it was not for the generosity of many kind individuals and organizations that support us.
