Helping 16 low income students return to college

Thanks to the generous contributions of all our supporters that have kindly donated valuable resources through our crowdfunding efforts, we are in a position to join forces with our valued sponsor and partner, the Panthera Edge Foundation, in order to fund the last four college semesters of two new beneficiaries in deep need of financial aid.

Since last year, Panthera Edge has been generously supporting the Daniel Rojas Mora Foundation in order to be able to fund the college careers of three young and talented beneficiaries. Thanks to Panthera Edge’s continued valuable donations, we have managed to achieve a very important milestone: the Daniel Rojas Mora has been able to support ten beneficiaries and sponsor their university careers until they graduate as professionals.

Our beneficiaries are all carefully selected with very specific criteria, such as coming from low-income families, as well as having successfully completed at least half of their college careers with outstanding grades. We also support young individuals in academic careers that are more prone to developing entrepreneurship skills and that have entrepreneurship spirit engrained in their DNA.

Thanks to your kind support, so far four of our beneficiaries have already graduated as professionals. By April we expect to have six graduates. The other four are adequately progressing with their studies with very solid grades.

We are very glad to inform that since our last report we have received 49 new generous donations towards “Helping 16 low-income students return to college”. We would like to extend our most sincere gratitude for your kind generosity as the proceeds from your valuable contributions will allow us to support another student and hence move closer to our 16 sponsored students goal.

During this period, we have also incepted a new project, specifically to support the college education of the three triplet children of a young and cherished doctor, who passed away unexpectedly. The Daniel Rojas Foundation teamed up with his fellow school class mates and facilitated a donation campaign that was able to collect more than $35.000 (out of which more than $12.000 were collected on the GlobalGiving Platform), which will provide the widow enough resources to complete the necessary funds to secure their children’s higher education.

This effort also allowed the Foundation to secure the resources to support yet another new student. So we are very glad to be able to support the college education of two new students starting next semester, particularly in these extremely complex times when so much families are finding themselves without jobs and without other sources of income to be able to pay for their children’s higher education.
