Love and Care

Dear Donor:

Alexandra is one of the 436 students that have graduated from the Instituto de Educación Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe since its beginning.

Currently, Alexandra works as a nurse technician in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe. This was all possible because in 2016 her life changed, due to the education she received thanks to the help of the Institute’s benefactors. Today, Alexandra explained to us how she is now able to change the lives of others. “It is incredible to see the influence and impact we can have on other people from the work we do. Starting with a warm hello, a motivating word, an explanation…The Institute gave me responsibility, empathy, and an awakening of knowing that today, I can be the one to change someone’s life. When I work with children, I can understand that I am more than a nurse technician, I am the voice of a child that has no voice of their own.

I am beyond thankful to all of those who invested in me. Due to this, I feel the responsibility to plant the same seed that they planted in me in other people, through my acts.”

According to the head of the Nurse Department, “the effort of the nurse technicians at the Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe is renown by patients and their families. This is reflected in the Patient Satisfaction Survey. This evaluation allows us to see the importance of their work when it comes to patients’ care. The nurse technicians pour their heart and souls, providing warmth and security as part for their job, to every patient, everyday.”

Helping our students has allowed us to take care of our patients, their families and our entire community. Thank you very much for your donations, their impact replicates everywhere. Please share their beautiful project with your friends and family.

Warm Regards,

Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe
