In Haiti, there is no medical insurance, and most families cannot afford the cost of medical treatments. We have so many children who have medical, dental, and vision needs.
In the past three months, we were able to cover the cost for surgery of a sponsored young man with a serious leg injury after being struck by a motorcycle taxi. In addition, we provided critical eye medicine for 20 children with early-onset glaucoma which prevents blindness. Also, we provided eye exams and glasses for more than 50 children and teens who are extremely near-sighted and had great difficulty in school seeing their teacher’s lessons on the chalkboard.
