How are things in Haiti? This is definitely one of the most common questions that I’ve been asked over the past few months. The situation there is dire.
Food is in very short supply and what food there is, is very expensive and unaffordable for most. Hunger and starvation are severe, and some are resorting to cooking leaves in water or even eating dirt.
But on October 2nd, children lined up ready for the new school year. They arrived confident that the cooks were in the kitchen making a meal for them. They could smell it, and their excitement grew! Having a meal every day is a luxury in Haiti, and during the school year, they know that every day, they get to eat.
Thank you so much for your investment in the physical nourishment of these children. They are so grateful.
