Harvesting radish for the salad
Harvesting radish for the salad

Currently, we have 252 beneficiaries enrolled, 179 from la Calera and 73 from Soacha.

During the first months of 2023, we have developed 11 Experiential Encounters with these communities.

  • Social circles and co-creationof the project.
  • Emotions recognition and management within children under 15 years.
  • Connection with the social fabric.
  • Preparations of healthy recipes and food preservation methods.
  • Agroecology workshops within the community orchards.

We have worked on 5 topics defined by Soydoy as a source of development towards a healthy life, the resources that each person has available: Nutritional, Agricultural, Financial, Emotional and Social.

Social circles

  • Recognition and identification of community needs

  • Co-creation of the objectives

Emotion Management

  • Development of being as an individual and in society
  • Human development from individual and collective perspectives

Gastronomic Encounters

  • Food preservation
  • Healthy recipes

Agroecology

  • Soil preparation
  • Raise beds to sow

The goals we want to share with you are the following:

  • Children have learned to recognize and feel good with their emotions, expressing and regulating them. They are aware that being sad, with anger or frustrated is temporary and is OK to feel this way.
  • Children have enjoyed the Gastronomic Encounters, leaving aside myths about fruits and vegetables.
  • Children and families are very motivated about improving their nutrition and growing their organic food.
  • Some women have led their trainings and volunteer encounters, where they highlight their experience and knowledge about food security.
  • Families learned new recipes to prepare healthy lunch boxes for their children.
