Food and Medical Care for Sick Youth and Elderly

Thank you very much for your donation to our project providing food and medical care for the youth and the elderly. The youth and elderly need a lot of support especially in terms of food and medical care. This reporting period we promoted the growing of vegetables and other crops like sweet potato in order to improve the food sources of the youth and the elderly. We provide them with vegetable seeds, organic fertilizer and small farming implements like sprayer and weeding tools. We are able to support 70 youth and elderly in this manner during this reporting period and we hope to increase the number of those whom we are able to support in the coming months.

Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for supporting our project providing food and medical care for the youth and the elderly. This reporting period we focus our assistance to providing the youth with increased knowledge and aptitude in producing their own food in their own homes and thus assist their parents in improving food access and food security. We do this by conducting training and we found out that practical study visits to successful farmers is effective in ensuring retention of knowledge of the trainees. We conducted 1 study-visit during this reporting period involving 32 youth leaders and adults and most of them said that the learning they get they will apply in their own farms. We will be following this up by the provision of small farming productive inputs like seeds and seedlings and starter chicken for their chicken raising project.
