Everyone deserves ton receive basic human rights which includes the right to food, water and shelter. Our team at hand to hand ensures that people living in the slums in Pattaya have access to all of these things in a dignified way that not only provides for their daily urgent needs bit also fills them with confidence and a hope for the future. Often a hug and a listening ear are just as important as a bag of rice.
We are very thankful to 'One World Water' who provides free drinking water to all of our families. This is making a huge impact to so many lives already, especially the elderly and disabled kiddies. These people are on a liquid diet which means powder needs to be mixed with water. Dirty water can cause a lot of problems. One little boy died in Pattaya for this exact reason. His mum had no clean water and she mixed his powder with dirty water.
Every week we feed 250 families in the slum. Mnay of these people cannot work because they have no education. Some families have up to 10 people with only 1 bread winner who earns less than the basic wage. This means instead of 3 meals a day the children and their family eat 1 or maybe 2 times a day.
Access to clean drinking water and food is a basic human right for ALL.
